Red Roof Inn Gallup receives mixed reviews, primarily due to inconsistent guest experiences. While some guests appreciate the affordability, clean rooms, and pet-friendly policies, others report issues with noisy environments, poor service, and subpar breakfast offerings. Recent reviews suggest a slight improvement in overall quality.
Updated: I had booked and paid through Priceline- when I arrived the clerk said my card had been declined, which I thought was fishy but I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep so I let her run my card. I have been charged by Priceline, as well. So I was charged over $130 for a night at this absolute dump. BEWARE!! This place will scam you!! As far as the actual stay goes: We arrived exhausted after a long day of travel, to be greeted by an unfriendly woman at the counter. We spent a miserable night, tossing and turning, due to the stifling warm room. With the a/c on lowest setting, we still never achieved a comfortable temperature. It was a Sunday night, and neighboring guests partied until after 4am. If you need rest, try somewhere else!
Stayed here for the night when traveling through Gallup. Was not expecting much due to the price, but the rooms were extremely well-maintained (Its not the Ritz, but a lot higher quality than your average roadside budget motel), and I got some good rest here. No problems checking in around 2:30 AM. The fact that breakfast is included here is insane! I only paid like 40 bucks to stay!
I am a person who writes reviews based on if I felt like I got good service based on the price I paid. This place is a good price. The room was clean and had no problems. Breakfast was waffles, toast, coffee, and a few simple cereals. Nothing super fancy, but you will be fed. WiFi worked for me to take my online test. The front desk people were great.
The room is clean, updated and very nice. The bed is comfortable and the AC works great. Fridge does not have a freezer space but is clean, large and works. Small microwave and coffee in the room. Bathroom is very clean and a great shower. Unfortunately it is right next to a very loud interstate and an even louder and busy train track. The noise is why I gave 4 stars and not 5.
Rooms are reasonable. Beds are comfortable, has all you need. We always choose Red Roif Inn in Gallup, New Mexicio. Only issue was that the shower was hard to turn on.
The room was fine for a one-night stay. Pros: Access to I40 Fridge and microwave and TV Clean Comfortable bed Heater worked well Convenient parking Cons: Only outlet that worked was in the bathroom; neither one by the bed worked No Kleenex, only TP Pillows stained and in bad shape Allergies kicked up, probably a dog or cat slept in the bed previously. I’d recommend having some pet-free rooms available.
Had an issue with a date from Hotels.com. Kalia was on top of it and very accommodating for our contractors working in Gallup. This is out go to hotel. Fair price, clean, and great front end customer service.
Typical Red roof hotel, affordable and clean, the building kinda old and you can hear the people upstairs walking very clearly but you get what you pay for, the good thing is no bad smells in the room and the water pressure is great in the shower, the lady in the front desk is awesome she was very helpful and will greet you with smile. It was easy booking process didn’t have to do online crap just paid at the front with no online reservation. 5 stars for what you pay for.
Great hotel on the legendary Route 66 - we absolutely loved it! The rooms are very clean and spacious. Friendly staff and a reasonable price make the stay even more enjoyable. Free parking is a big plus. The hotel has a gym, and a laundry is available if needed. There is a pool in the summer. The hotel is fully accessible for guests with disabilities. There is a barbecue area. The self-serve breakfast is excellent - we especially loved the fresh waffles. A perfect place to stay while traveling along Route 66. We would happily stay here again!
I'm impressed, this place is the best value. It has everything I need and everything is good, clean room, smells good, coffee maker, ironing board w/iron, fridge, microwave, table w/chair to eat or work, swivel TV w/direcTV, tissues, etc. Basically attention to detail. Why pay more? Conveniently located right off i40 (perfect for travellers like myself). The service was polite and efficient which I appreciate after a long day of driving. I highly recommend and will be back next time I'm passing through. Better than their competitors for sure. Allowing my cat here seals the deal A+
