The Travelodge by Wyndham Gallup consistently receives negative reviews, citing significant cleanliness issues, disrepair, and outdated facilities. While some guests praised the helpfulness of a specific staff member, the overwhelming feedback indicates a seriously substandard property that falls far short of acceptable standards.
Rat poop in drawers, mold, broken blinds(no privacy), no mini-fridge(yet shown in their pictures), stained towels, 1 gross pillow, cracked tile, holes in walls, broken TV. See photos for the disgusting proof.
Really dirty. Stinky too. I had to wipe everything down. Don't even dare look under the beds or in the drawer. Yuck. This is an old motel that lacks basic things. Half of the electrical outlets don't work. There are no wash cloths provided. The front office is locked most of the time. A sign directs you to a motel next door called Days Inn. Low price that is the maximum earned. A big disappointment. && NO BREAKFAST either
So, they put me in room 101. There are no working outlets so you can't charge anything, no tv, no heat, no lights and no the wifi does not work. But you got a bed to sit there in the dark in.
Not a good experience at this dive. Usually my experience at motels in Gallup is much better than average but stubbed my toe on this dump. First off, the pics on the site do not represent the actual condition of the rooms. The two we happened to see were dirty and in a state of disrepair. Now let's get to the smell....the first room we got assigned smelled like rigor mortis had set in somewhere under the bed. Spent about 15 seconds in the room before the death odor became too overwhelming to bear. The front desk person then assigned us another room which wasn't much better but at least we able to tolerate it for a few hours sleep. Plus we were tired and the room was prepaid, but never again here. Di yourself a favor and bypass this dump. Plenty of other options available
I have to say what a Awesome guy named Kevin who checked me in at the desk was one of the nicest and most helpful person that I have met in my life. I am 62 years old and he made sure I had everything I needed and I just can't say enough about this guy. Thank you so much. He is an asset to this hotel !
We've been staying at this hotel for 2 nights now, and are very happy with our experience (so far). We arrived really early, so the check in desk wasn't open yet. The really nice guy working the desk was more than willing to open the office early for us and allowed us to check in. He didn't even charge us a fee for checking in early! Our room was clean and has enough towels. The rooms are (apparently) sound proof, because we haven't had ANY problems with outside noise. The price is the lowest I've seen in a long time. Combining that with the friendly staff and cleanliness, this is a great deal
No pool. Says there is but there is not a pool. Service was slow but thorough. Rooms are clean, solid furniture, new chairs, no fridge, but no trash can and needs electric plugs fixed. Being renovated, you can tell.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place, it is disgusting . The only positive comment I can give is I did not see any rodents, guess it too disgusting even for the vermin. It is inexpensive but I would not stay here if it was free. I had to leave after just a few hours when I noticed possible mold around the door. How Travelodge and Wyndham can put their brand on this place is beyond belief. Should be negative stars but had to select one to post the review.
These reviews are hilarious! What did you expect for $50? Long day behind the wheel I just wanted a place to stop for an overnight. Place is run down and probably needs to be torn down. Janky part of town but nothing was stolen out of my truck. Room was cold when I got there. Messed around with the heater and it finally blew warm air. Prayed to god the shower would be warm and he’d delivered. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable despite its resemblance to a taco. This place is a wreck. Don’t expect otherwise! Loved every minute, don’t get your hopes up. Peace out.
The reason I chose this location over one that was similarly priced was because they reported to serve breakfast. I was sorely disappointed with the room. When I checked in the outside temp was in the 40' and the overnight temperature dropped into the 20's. You would think that the heater in the room would be going ahead of time, especially since I called ahead and reserved the room. Nope. I turned the heater on and up to 75. The room was still cold in the morning. The entire room is sorely outdated and grungy. Tiles in the bathroom were loose and broken and there were shoe prints on them that were not from my shoes. The stick on carpet tiles in the room area was misaligned and had gaps to the tile floor below it. No outlets anywhere near the single bedstand in the king bed room. I had to do some fancy rearranging just to be able to plug in my CPAP. Nevermind my phone. The only outlet by the fridge did not have enough locations to plug the fridge, micro and coffee pot all in at the same time. The wifi was slow. I didn't do any streaming on is as it was to slow to do updates on my laptop. Location close to the interstate was nice, but I could hear the train from my room. The office is unmanned and locked. I had to call to have someone come check me in and then he didn't ask before running the card that I had used to reserve the room. Not sure why Wyndham should partner with this place, as it doesn't live up to their standards.
